WINE

Château de La Dauphine

A harmonious, generous wine, characterized, like Château de La Dauphine itself, by elegance and complexity.
Produced with the vines that grow on the hillsides, this wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels with 30% renewed each year, and has a substantial capacity to improve further with age.

Château de La Dauphine, a story of women and emotions.

This exceptional Bordeaux wine with its Tuscan landscapes has been in the hands of Stéphanie Barousse for almost 10 years.
This 66-hectare jewel of biodiversity (organic & biodynamic) is located in the heart of the Fronsadais region, on an exceptional terroir of limestone plateaux.

Our first wine, Château de La Dauphine, is made with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. The grapes enjoy on our limestone-rich plateau, expressing the full potential of the terroir.

It is the result of meticulous work in the vineyard and in the winery. Its delicate notes of spice and red fruits are enhanced by freshness and finesse, making it a perfect choice for your elegant meals.

The château was built in 1750 and shares a royal history with the Château de Versailles that continues through the vintages.
Its name? The coming of Marie-Josèphe de Saxe, mother of Louis XVI and Dauphine of France.
