Through Neal Martin’s pen, the estate is highlighted as one of the flagship domains of the Right Bank. Neal Martin underlines the growing quality of the latest vintages, from 2001 to 2018, and the exceptional potential of our terroir: limestone plateaus.
The estate, whose history dates back to the 18th century and which shares a close connection with the Château de Versailles, has seen significant investment in recent years. Under the leadership of Stéphanie Barousse, La Dauphine has developed a sustainable approach, notably with an organic (AB) certification, biodynamic vineyard management, the Cultivons Demain label, and most recently the Bee Friendly label, while also expanding its vineyard to reach 66 hectares.
Thanks to a varied terroir composed primarily of limestone plateaus, modern and masterful winemaking, and a constant pursuit of quality, Château de La Dauphine today produces balanced, elegant wines offering fine ageing potential while also expressing themselves beautifully in their early years.
Neal Martin highlights the 2015, 2016 and 2018 vintages as among the most remarkable, placing the estate among the benchmarks of Bordeaux.
