The little winemakers’ harvest at Château de La Dauphine

On a beautiful September morning, children’s laughter echoed through the organic and biodynamic vineyards of La Dauphine. Students from the Fronsac nursery and primary school traded their pencils for pruning shears to discover the grape harvest.

Accompanied by their teachers, parent volunteers, and our team, the children explored the world of viticulture: identifying ripe clusters, smelling the grape aromas, walking between the vine rows, and observing the biodiversity.

A sense of wonder shared by both the youngest and the oldest:
“I found a huge bunch, bigger than my hand!”
“It’s funny, it sticks to your fingers, and it smells so good!”

This day, rich in emotion and learning, helped raise awareness among the younger generation about biodiversity and winemaking traditions. The children left with a great sense of pride in having participated in their village’s harvest and, above all, in sharing the story with their parents!
