The harvest of the small winegrowers at Château de La Dauphine
On a beautiful September morning, the laughter of children echoed through the organic & biodynamic vineyard of La Dauphine. The pupils of the Fronsac school had swapped their pencils for “secateurs” to discover the grape harvest.
Accompanied by their teachers, volunteer parents and our team, the children were able to discover the world of viticulture: recognizing ripe bunches, smelling the aromas of the grapes, walking between the rows of vines, and observing biodiversity.
A wonder seen by young and old: “I found a huge bunch, bigger than my hand!” “It’s funny, it sticks to the fingers, and it smells good!” »
This day, rich in emotions and learning, made it possible to raise awareness among the youngest about biodiversity and winemaking traditions. The children went home with great pride in having taken part in the harvest of their village — and above all, eager to tell their parents about it!
