Wine Spectator – James Suckling : 90-93
Blackberry and blueberry galore on the nose. Full-bodied, with a solid core of fruit and beautiful finish. Rich, yet with finesse.
The Wine Advocate – Robet Parker : 88-90
This 2009 is further evidence of just how much qualitative progress this large estate in Fronsac has made. Deep ruby/purple-tinged with loads of crushed rock, cranberry, and cherry notes, the wine has a creamy texture, medium to full body, and impressive purity and length. Drink it over the next decade. Drink 2010-2022
The Wine Journal – Neal Martin : 91
There is an almost sorbet-like quality to this bouquet, good intensity and well defined, macerated red cherries, orange sorbet, a touch of dried prune and just a hint of seaweed. The palate is very well balanced, dances on the tongue, good acidity and well integrated oak. Linear, focused, wonderful clarify on the finish. Once the aromatic coalesce then this could be a winner
